Important allergy warning
Magic Box is not an allergen-free service or allergen-free facility.
People with severe or life-threatening food allergies should carefully determine whether Magic Box is appropriate for them.
How Magic Box uses allergy information
When you record an allergy in your account, the Magic Box system uses the ingredient, description and allergen information available to it to apply a hard software exclusion against products that appear to conflict with that allergy.
This is an additional screening measure.
It is not a guarantee that a product or delivery is free from an allergen.
Supplier products
Most food sold through Magic Box is obtained from farms, producers, distributors and other suppliers.
Magic Box generally places those supplier products into the larger Magic Box delivery box rather than manufacturing those foods.
For packaged supplier products, customers must review the manufacturer’s current ingredient statement, allergen statement, packaging and warnings.
Supplier formulations and manufacturing practices can change.
Cross-contact
Magic Box cannot guarantee that supplier food has not experienced cross-contact during growing, processing, manufacturing, storage or transportation.
Cross-contact may also occur during handling and packing.
Magic Box-made products
Separately identified Magic Box-made foods, including applicable Magic Box Raw or Magic Box Coffee products, will provide the ingredient and allergen information required for that product.
Products sold under Arizona’s Cottage Food Program will also carry the applicable required disclosures.
Major allergens
Customers should pay particular attention to major food allergens and any other ingredient known to cause them a reaction.
Severe allergies
If you have a severe allergy:
- read every manufacturer’s or product package label
- do not rely exclusively on the Magic Box website or software filter
- contact us if information is unclear
- do not consume a product if you are uncertain about its safety
